why do we do what we do?

Snorkel Education & Awareness was set up when our sister company within the AAA Scuba Group, Aquatic Adventures, began to receive lots of requests for more structured snorkeling training. 
As a 5-star Scuba Diving training centre, they were able to offer plenty of advice, but it soon became clear that a structured pathway to assist those who do NOT necessarily want to delve below the waves simply didn't exist.
Taking this inequity onboard, members of the Aquatic Adventures staff worked to design programs specifically aimed at snorkelers, and the formation of S-E-A was a natural progression of that design process.  The scuba certification agencies were disinterested in snorkelers as a growing market, as they didn't see them as being profitable enough, however that money-hungry attitude flies directly in the face of the reasons most ocean enthusiasts become snorkelers and divers - they love the ocean and want to share it.
It was that resounding desire to share the wonders of our local waters with as many people as possible that prompted the creation of a completely separate business in Snorkel Education & Awareness.
Our goals are to help boost confidence and safety for snorkelers when they are exploring the amazing temperate waters of Victoria's coastline, to educate them regarding the incredible biodiversity on our door steps in our local waters, and to hopefully inspire future generations to love the ocean as much as we do!
